Entrusted with creating an extraordinary experience at The Beams
For the highly anticipated Creative HEAD’s Most Wanted and It List Awards 2024 Grand Final, Vibration Production was entrusted with creating an extraordinary experience at The Beams. Renowned for its flexibility, The Beams offered an ideal blank canvas for this prestigious event. Leveraging their technical expertise, Vibration Production transformed the venue into a spectacular setting using cutting-edge audio, lighting, video, and set design.
We hosted the event across Spaces 1 and 2 of The Beams, with Space 1 dedicated to the main awards ceremony and Space 2 used for the drinks reception and after party. These large, open spaces gave us the flexibility to design a layout that fully optimised the venue, allowing for a smooth transition between the formal awards event and the social elements, while providing ample room for the stage, seating, and audience engagement.

Meticulous planning was key to the event’s success.
Vibration Production utilised CAD production and detailed visual renders to design the layout and technical setup, ensuring that potential challenges were addressed in advance. A content test was conducted at their HQ to ensure all video elements were ready for the big night.
The event setup was completed in a single day, with an efficient team bringing the vision to life. A dedicated crew of 2 production managers, 6 riggers, 5 audio technicians, 8 lighting technicians, 5 video technicians, and 1 electrician worked together to build, test, and fine-tune every detail in time for the live show.
For sound, Vibration Production deployed the D&B V Series system, delivering crystal-clear audio across Spaces 1 and 2. This ensured every announcement, performance, and speech was heard perfectly by the entire audience.
To enhance the atmosphere, the lighting setup featured fixtures such as the Robe Esprite, Robe LEDBeam 150, GLP JDC1, Robe Pointe, and Robe Spiider. These lights created an immersive environment with dynamic effects and vibrant colour schemes, adding energy to the event.
In terms of video production, cutting-edge displays like the Absen Polaris V10 3.9mm LED screens and Roe Vanish V8 created striking visuals with transparency effects. Managed through a Barco S3 system, the video content flowed seamlessly, elevating the storytelling and impact of the event.
The custom-built 32' x 16' stage, designed with a unique fascia to complement the awards' aesthetic, became the focal point of the evening. It offered plenty of space for presenters, winners, and performers, contributing to the event’s overall grandeur.
To assist with setup, the team used four scissor lifts, streamlining the installation of intricate lighting, audio, and video systems at height while ensuring safety throughout the process.
The two-day event began with a day dedicated to the build and technical rehearsals, followed by the live awards ceremony. After the event concluded, the crew worked overnight to de-rig and restore the venue.
